CPHV has many programs that are designed to reduce bias, harassment and violence. These programs fall into two broad categories:
Educational
and Training Workshops:
CPHV offers a series of educational and training programs for educational
institutions as well as businesses, governmental agencies, and community
organizations
Advocacy
Projects:
CPHV is committed to extending our bias prevention work to the communities
around us, through our advocacy programs. With these programs we investigate
and document bias motivated harassment and violence aimed at traditionally
targeted communities in Maine. We publish our findings in reports which
include detailed summaries of collected data, as well as recommendations
for policy development and community outreach. As experts in bias motivated
harassment, violence and hate crimes, we know that when any members of our
community are targeted, none of us is truly safe.
